Fat Shark’s rat-killing simulator Vermintide 2 will be getting a free update this June that will a bunch of new content to the game’s procedurally generation Chaos Wastes mode. The Vermintide 2: Chaos Wastes Be’lakor Free Update will be dropping on June 14th and won’t cost you a single penny if you already own the game.
Vermintide 2: Chaos Wastes Be’Lakor is a Free Update
If you’ve not already heard of it, Vermintide 2 is a very Left 4 Dead-style game set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. In it, you control one of 5 different heroes who must make their way through hordes of enemies to complete various objectives. The Chaos Wastes update added an extra game mode with procedurally generation maps, and the Be’Lakor free update will go on to add even more new content to the mode for long-time players.
The Vermintide 2: Chaos Wastes Be’Lakor free update will drop on June 14th and will be made available to everyone who owns the game. Right now, it’s not immediately clear if the update will go live on the console versions day and date with the PC versions, but console gamers can live in eternal hope that it just might. You can check out the trailer for yourself above if you’re interested in seeing what sort of new content the update will bring with it.
Fat Shark is Working on Even More Games
As well as consistently updating Vermintide 2, the developers, Fat Shark, are also working on a bunch of other content. For a start, they’ve been working on more careers for the 5 main characters over the past year or so, with almost every character having received a new class option at this stage.
The big new title from Fat Shark is the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, a similar title but set in the Sci-fi universe of Warhammer 40K. With a bigger focus on ranged weapons and the not particularly surprising inclusion of a lot more sci-fi technology, many fans of VT2 are really getting excited for Darktide, and with the game finally getting a release date recently, it’s not too much of a shock to see why.
