Square Enix announced a lot of JRPGs at the March 2022 State of Play. One of these JRPGs, Valkyrie Elysium, has now been rated in Brazil, suggesting we might get a release date sooner rather than later.
Valkyrie Elysium Rated, Suggests Release Date Soon
Valkyrie Elysium has been rated in Brazil, suggesting that we may be seeing an announcement soon with a release date attached. With a State of Play AND a Nintendo Direct rumoured to be coming soon, it’s possible that we may be seeing a trailer at one of these, especially given the wide amount of platforms that Valkyrie Elysium has been announced to be releasing for.
The game itself is due to release this year, so it would make a lot of sense for us to see a release date sooner rather than later, in addition to the fact that it’s a Square Enix JRPG, one of that publishers biggest genres.
What Is The Game?
Valkyrie Elysium was announced at a State of Play back in March, and promises to make a story inspired by Norse mythology. As the official Square Enix page puts it:
“This brand-new game brings the VALKYRIE combines an evocative world inspired by Norse mythology, thrillingly fast-paced combat and stunning audio-visual presentation to deliver an action-RPG like no other.”
The Valkyrie series is quite the historic one, with the original game released back in 1999 and being called Valkyrie Profile. Since then it’s released on PlayStation 2, in addition to being later released on handheld and mobile platforms.
